Add an image from Flickr to the event page
Flickr has tweaked their sharing options which has made it a little bit more work to insert your images into your event page. Previously the link would have had image filenames like .png .jpg which you could directly insert into websites to display the image but they have changed this. There is a little workaround.
1. On Flickr, when you are viewing your image, click the Share option then choose the Grab the HTML/BBCode option.
2. Copy and Paste this into word/notepad/textedit or whatever word editor you use. From the chunk of text that looks like my example below, you have to select the part in bold above and copy it for your image:
"<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/violetknows/9080451/" title="Edinburgh Castle by violetknows, on Flickr"><img src="/http://farm1.static.flickr.com/5/9080451_8afad965e6.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Edinburgh Castle"></a>"
It has to start with http:// and end with .jpg. You can edit the size by changing the numbers for height and width.
3. Then paste the link with .jpg at the end into the Image URL Box inside the Event Information editor on your event Edit Page. You can learn more about this here.
That should do the trick!
